Wayne Jepsen started his career with Conrail in 1976, which merged with NJ Transit in 1983. He quickly moved up the ranks to become a principal project engineer by the time he retired. Wayne also served as the Finderne Fire Chief, in the late 1970's. As a side business, Wayne Jepsen Lawn Services was formed in 1986, with one truck and trailer. As the business became more successful, Wayne transitioned into a full-time service in 2002, becoming the operation that it is today, Wayne Jepsen Landscaping LLC. The business moved from primarily residential jobs, to incorporating more commercial operations within a few years of becoming a full time operation
Eric graduated from high school in 2002. He started full time, working with his father, that summer, and has remained a bedrock employee ever since. Eric has completed multiple courses and continuing education professional seminars from the Rutgers University, focusing on landscape design, plant material and horticultural pruning. Eric is a certified Interlocking Concrete Paving Institute professional, and has incorporated landscape construction as a major arm of business for Wayne Jepsen Landscaping. Eric is also one of only 150 landscape professionals in NJ who has been designated as Landscape Industry certified technician, specifically in turf maintenance. Eric also holds a NJ State Pesticide and Herbicide applicator license, to treat turf. With all of his professional designations, Eric is continually taking educational seminars to maintain proper licensing.
